What you can expect of Dr Minnick & the services she provides.

At Advanced Breast Care of the Palm Beaches, Dr. Minnick uses the latest technology to provide state of the art care with her signature small town personal touch. Dr. Minnick works with the patient’s existing physicians such as their gynecologist, family doctor, and radiologist to investigate and work up each patient’s particular problem. If further testing is needed, Dr. Minnick explains the available options and helps the patient select the option most appropriate for them. This may include additional radiologic tests such as ultrasound or MRI, minimally invasive diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound guided or stereotactic biopsy, and sometimes surgery. Patients are encouraged to bring family or friends to their visits to ask questions and provide support.

For patients with breast cancer, Dr. Minnick works as an integral part of the patient’s care team which may include their own physician, an oncologist, a radiation oncologist, and a plastic surgeon. Discussion of treatment options and coordination of services with other members of the patient’s care team is a key part of her philosophy. Dr. Minnick is skilled in Breast Conservation, often referred to as Lumpectomy. She often performs this in concert with a minimally invasive axillary lymph node biopsy, also known as a Sentinel Node Biopsy. If mastectomy is selected by the patient, Dr. Minnick offers the patient the opportunity to have immediate reconstruction by a plastic surgeon.
